    Sultan Sands Island Resort is situated next to its sister property, Bluebay Beach Resort & Spa on the wide, sparkling beaches of Kiwengwa on the east coast of the island. Sultan Sands Island Resort has its own unique character. An inspired blend of Swahili and Arab architecture and decor creates a relaxed ambience, while first-class amenities and facilities ensure complete comfort.

    With its idyllic beach position, relaxing pool and wonderful choice of leisure and dining options, Sultan Sands is the perfect island getaway. Sultan Sands guests also share many facilities with Bluebay Beach Resort, including the famous Oasis Spa and the One Ocean Dive Centre.

    On Kiwengwa Beach along the Pacific Ocean, this upscale resort with Swahili styling and a laid-back vibe is 41 km from the historic centre of Stone Town and 46 km from Zanzibar International Airport.

    Relaxed rooms in traditional Zanzibari, circular cottages have patios, sitting areas and thatched roofs. All include Wi-Fi (fee), flat-screens, minibars and mosquito nets; some offer ocean views.

     Breakfast and dinner are included. A buffet restaurant serves European dishes. There's a beach snack bar and an open-air cafe/nightclub, plus a cocktail bar beside an outdoor pool. Guests have use of a spa and a dive centre at an adjacent sister resort.

    Baobab Rooms:
    The 24 Baobab rooms are situated in authentic makuti thatched bungalows and enjoy an ocean view over the Resorts tropical gardens. The rooms offer a spacious bedroom, an en-suite bathroom and either a verandah or terrace. The rooms are bright and exquisitely decorated in a traditional Swahili style.
